A varietal Cabernet Sauvignon made by Ginny Povall in Stellenbosch, just west of Cape Town. The grapes are from the Protea Hights farm which began life in the 1940's as a farm for South Africa's national flower, the protea flower. Now under Ginny Povall's ownership, the farm is a mix of indigenous flowers and organic grapes. This powerful yet lively cab has notes of fig newtons, walnut skins, graphite, and cassis.
