Chionetti is located in Dogliani just adjacent to Monforte d' Alba. This is Dolcetto grown on serious Barolo soil. 10 Million year old marine origin soils of Limestone, Sandstone, Chalk and Tufa. Dogliani is known for structure, longevity and depth. The Briccolero is one single parcel within the San Luigi Vineyard. This wine starts to soften and open up its earthy depths with some time in the bottle. The 2017 is really in a great place where the texture starts to roll off your tongue. Red/purplish berries, licorice spices and menthol are tightly woven with beams of tannin finishing nicely with a floral brightness. Pairs very nicely with fresh pasta, mushrooms and aged cheeses.
