- “La Charge” comes from the Touraine AOP but is declassified as VDF to avoid administrative and AOP regulations. This Pet Nat comes from 4 parcels all located in Saint-Aignan: 2 parcels of Menu Pineau (60-yo vines), 1 parcel of 50% Chenin, 50% Menu Pineau (40-yo vines), and 1 parcel of Sauvignon Blanc (60-yo vines). This is a very clean and elegant pet nat with notes of honey melon and a slightly caramelised finish. When you first open the bottle you get a foamy bubble consistency on the palate, but shortly after some exposure to oxygen, the bubbles settle and allow more room for the flavors to develop.
