- Purchased by Jean-Pierre Moueix in 1953, Château Trotanoy has been considered one of the premier crus of Pomerol since the end of the eighteenth century. The Chateau Trotanoy 2017 blends of 90% Merlot with 10% Cabernet Franc, displaying a gorgeous deep crimson color in the glass. On the nose, this wine is very expressive, offering red and black fruit (cherries, redcurrant, kirsch), interwoven with the estate's signature touches of pencil lead and flint and smoke. On the palate, this Pomerol shows off a core of powerful, juicy fruit, along with plush and focused tannins. This is a Trotanoy with great density and power, to be enjoyed 2025-2050.
