Dark berry and plum fruit, black licorice, and violets on the nose. Mid weighted, serious and deep for Dolcetto, yet it’s not over done. This has tension and terrific balance, with the acidity, fruit, and soil all coming together seamlessly. Detailed and fresh, with layers of complexity, this is not overtly powerful, but it has hidden strength and a simultaneously effortlessness to drinking it. There’s great acidity and with a snap to the fruit. Beautifully balanced and serious but not overdone.
