The Père Pape blend essentially comes from the terroirs in the south of the appellation, in the Grand Coulet area. It is aged for 18 months in barrels. As in all our Châteauneuf du Pape vintages, Grenache is the majority. However, it is in the Domaine du Père Pape that we have the highest proportion of Syrah. The Domaine du Père Pape is a solid, ambitious vintage intended for aging. The nose is complex with aromas of jammy black fruits, cocoa and spices. The palate is warm and reveals fine and tight tannins, with notes of prunes and cherry cherries.
