A brooding if moderately oaky nose grudgingly reveals its aromas of fresh black cherry and violet plus and lovely range of spice facets. There is a more refined if less powerful mouthfeel to the medium weight and tautly muscular flavors that possess slightly better depth on the more structured and youthfully austere finish.
