- Winemaker notes: Director's Cut Cinema is composed each vintage from Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel. Because we've made single varietal Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel for many years now, we understand the diverse profiles of different selections and know which work best when blended together. The 2017 growing season began with a good deal of precipitation, but after a mild spring, temperatures heated up and remained quite warm throughout summer and fall. The vintage delivered smaller than average clusters, which led to excellent concentration and high-quality fruit. Blend: 51% Zinfandel, 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Petite Syrah.
