The vineyard is located on Soda Canyon Road and is comprised of Cabernet Sauvignon (Clones 337,4 and 6), Merlot (Clone 314), and Cabernet Franc (Clone 4). The 2019 Cabernet is a great example of another great vintage here in Napa. The wine is dark in color with an elegant but powerful nose full of dark fruit, spices, and mountain sage. The wine is full-bodied with excellent tension, notes of black cherry, graphite and mountain herbs, and a hint of fruit sweetness. Silky yet firm tannin structure gives the wine a great length. The wine is a great showcase of the property, to drink now and in the next 15+ years. 91% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Cabernet Franc. 20 months in 100% French oak. Each of our blocks were fermented in a stainless steel tank, the Cab Franc co-fermented with one of the Cabernet Sauvignon blocks.
