- Abundantly exuberant, our 2020 Viognier expresses orange blossom, litchee, candied lemon peel and nectarine notes. On the palate, the texture is textbook for this grape, with a very lush and full mouthfeel balanced by lively acidity on the long finish. The essence of spring sunshine in a glass! The new canopy design combined with the glorious growing season has resulted in one of our best Viogniers ever. The viognier grapes were night-harvested in seven separate passes between September 8 and September 18, 2020. The juice was cold-settled in stainless steel vats for 48 hours and then racked to neutral French oak barrels (5 to 10 years old) for fermentation. The wine was bottled in early February to maximize the intensity of its fragrance and flavor.
