WS 90 pts. The first sniff hooked me. The wine's fascinating blackberry, pomegranate seed and fresh-cut hay aromas lured me in, and I wasn't disappointed. Traces of dark chocolate, almonds and leather joined black cherry and dried cranberry flavors. The mouthfeel is smooth and soft, as are the tannins and acidity. Single-Vineyard Series: 100% Pinot Noir from esteemed Holmes Gap Vineyard in the Van Duzer Corridor. The vineyard is planted to 100% Pommard clone, making for a more old-world Pinot. Thirty percent whole cluster fermentation with balanced oak profile to produce an elegant wine.
